Do you still ship machinery from the USA to Ukraine?

Yes, as far as a US container handoff or a European port we currently book: our project archive holds records for Ukrainian dealers dated 2025 and 2026. In them, Meridian bought or received the machines in the United States, dismantled and packed them at our Albion, Iowa facility, and either handed the loaded container over in the United States or shipped it on to Gdansk or Gdynia in Poland. The dealer arranged the leg into Ukraine. Current Meridian booking policy also accepts Constanta in Romania and Bremerhaven in Germany for this lane; we hold no route on record reaching further toward Ukraine.

Do you deliver to a farm or dealership inside Ukraine?

No record in our archive shows Meridian delivering inside Ukraine. In the 2025 and 2026 records, our responsibility ended at the US container handoff or at the port of Gdansk or Gdynia, and the dealer arranged the move into Ukraine and reassembly. Confirm duties, VAT and customs clearance with a Ukrainian customs broker before you buy.

Can you ship to Odesa?

Our 2014–2019 records show combines and sprayers shipped on flat racks from Savannah (and from Houston in 2014) to Odesa, some transshipped at Piraeus, and containers routed through New York. Two flat-rack shipments, in 2017 and 2019, took about 40 days in transit through Savannah. We have no Odesa shipment on record after 2019 and hold no current Odesa rate. The Joint War Committee lists the northern Black Sea and the Sea of Azov as a listed area for hull war risks (JWLA-034, 29 July 2026), so any Odesa routing has to be checked with the carrier and insurer at booking.

How long does a container take to reach Poland?

A 2025 container of three cultivators took about 28 days via New York to Gdansk. Two earlier, undated records show a John Deere 9650 STS combine reaching Gdynia on a flat rack from Houston in 42 days, and a John Deere HydraFlex header reaching Ukraine via Gdansk in 59 days in total. We do not publish a standard transit time for this lane.

Can a header or cultivator travel in a container instead of on a flat rack?

Often, with disassembly. The archive includes a CLAAS MAXFLEX 1050 header dismantled over one full day and loaded into a 40-foot High Cube in about three hours (2025), four headers packed on two levels in one 40-foot High Cube (2025), and a Wil-Rich X5 cultivator cut at four agreed points so it could be restored after delivery (2025). A John Deere 9650 STS combine went on a flat rack instead.

Can you buy the machine for me at a US auction or dealer?

Yes. The archive shows Meridian bidding at US auctions for Ukrainian dealers while their representative directed the bidding (2014), buying from US dealers for Ukrainian buyers (2016, 2019), and buying a Wil-Rich X5 cultivator at an Iowa auction with the client taking part (2025).

Do you arrange war-risk insurance, or quote Ukrainian duties and VAT?

Our records contain no war-risk insurance terms and no Ukrainian duty or VAT figures, so we do not quote them here. Confirm duties, VAT and certification for your exact machine with a Ukrainian customs broker; the authority is the State Customs Service of Ukraine.
