Container Loading & Export Shipping

Meridian Freight (meridianexport.com) plans the load, positions and secures heavy machinery in 20 ft, 40 ft, 40 ft high-cube, flat-rack and open-top containers, and books the ocean carrier with the best rate and transit time to the buyer's destination port.

Container choiceWhat is includedMost agricultural machines fit a 40 ft high-cube; oversized equipment goes on flat racks. The choice follows the machine's dimensions and weight. When it happensOnce the machine is measured.
Carrier booking and ocean transitWhat is includedWe compare routes and prices and book the carrier with the best rate and transit time to the destination. Carriers include Maersk, Hapag-Lloyd, CMA CGM, MSC, ZIM and Evergreen. When it happensTransit depends on the destination and on where the container is loaded. Current carrier rates show 5-10 days to Cartagena, Colombia from US ports, 47-62 days to Jebel Ali from US ports and 26 days to Veracruz, Mexico by 40HC from the Chicago rail ramp.

Not covered by this service: Export documents are a separate service (Export Documentation), and the buyer's own licensed broker handles import clearance at destination.

How We Handle Your Shipment

We pack every cubic foot strategically — minimizing your shipping cost while keeping the load secure. Our teams use cranes, forklifts, and custom blocking for heavy lifts and precise positioning. We negotiate directly with Maersk, Hapag-Lloyd, and CMA CGM for the best rates and routes to your destination.
