Information We Collect
When you use our website or contact forms, we may collect the following information:
- Name, email address, phone number, and company name (when you submit a form)
- Equipment and shipping details you provide in quote requests
- Usage data collected through Google Analytics 4, Yandex Metrica, and Vercel Analytics
- Cookies for analytics and advertising: outside the EU, the UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies are set unless you decline them; inside those regions, only after you accept. Advertising cookies are set only after you accept them.

- To improve our website and services through analytics
- To run and measure our advertising: advertising cookies only with your consent, the form requests our server reports to Meta, and the customer lists described below
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Google Analytics 4 — website traffic analysis
- Yandex Metrica — website traffic analysis — waits for your consent in the EU, UK and Switzerland; loads immediately elsewhere unless you decline
- Meta — advertising measurement and the customer lists described below. The Meta Pixel sets advertising cookies only after you accept them. When you send us a form, a booking or a calculator request, our server also reports that request to Meta with your email address and, if you gave one, your phone number as one-way SHA-256 codes (Conversions API), whatever your cookie choice.
- Vercel Analytics — performance monitoring
- Supabase — secure lead data storage
- Resend — transactional email delivery
Cookies We Set
In addition to the third-party services above, our own server sets two cookies directly, without needing your consent:
- NEXT_LOCALE — holds the language you've selected (English, Spanish, Russian) so the site remembers your preference on your next visit.
- mx_geo — holds only a region class — "eea" or "other" — based on your general location. We use it to decide whether Yandex Metrica should wait for your consent before loading, matching Google Analytics' own region-based behavior. It does not identify you and is never used for analytics itself.
Customer Lists for Advertising
If you have asked us for a quote, shipped with us or written to us on WhatsApp, we may put your email address and phone number on a customer list that we upload to Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram. Before anything leaves our systems, each email address and phone number is turned into a one-way SHA-256 code (a hash); we do not upload your name or anything you wrote to us. Meta compares these codes with the details of its own users and deletes them once the matching is done. We use the people it matched only to show them our ads, to keep them out of ads meant for people who do not know us yet, or as a starting point for Meta to find people similar to them (a lookalike audience). Meta does this on our behalf under its Custom Audience Terms, and the data may be processed in the United States. These lists come from our own records, not from your browser, so your cookie choice does not change them.
To opt out, ask us to take you off these lists by writing to contact@meridianexport.com. We then remove you from them and from the audiences already on Meta, and we do not upload you again.
Data Retention
We retain your contact information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, typically up to 3 years after your last interaction.
