John Deere 4940 Sprayer - Inspection and Emergency Re-Securing

In 2019 Meridian Freight purchased a John Deere 4940 sprayer for a farming operation in Ukraine. It was loaded on a Hapag-Lloyd Flat Rack in the Savannah port area and inspected by the National Cargo Bureau. After damage to the securing system was found in Piraeus, Greece, Meridian organized new supports and re-lashing before the shipment continued to Odesa.

The shipment

In 2019, Meridian Freight purchased a John Deere 4940 self-propelled sprayer for a farming operation in Ukraine. It was transported to the Savannah port area, loaded and secured on a Hapag-Lloyd Flat Rack, and inspected by the National Cargo Bureau. During transshipment in Piraeus, Greece, damage to the securing system was discovered and formally documented. Meridian Freight organized new supports and complete re-securing and re-lashing before the shipment continued to Odesa.
