John Deere 4830 Sprayer - Flat Rack Shipment to Ukraine

The Ukrainian dealer independently sourced and purchased the sprayer. Meridian collected it in Illinois and arranged the road move on a lowboy equipped with outriggers, which were required to support the machine's width. At the export facility, the sprayer's height and undercarriage geometry required substantial timber blocking and purpose-built support platforms. A crane placed the machine onto the Flat Rack, where the supports distributed the load and established the required transport position. Full containerization was considered, but it would have required more disassembly than the customer could reverse with the technical resources available at its site. Ro-Ro was also evaluated and was approximately $3,000-$4,000 more expensive than the selected Flat Rack solution. The shipment traveled through Savannah to Odesa in approximately 40 days. Meridian's responsibility ended at the Port of Odesa. No delay, damage or route change was reported, and the customer placed the sprayer in service.
