In 2014 Meridian Freight bought a John Deere 9860 STS combine at an online auction for a large agricultural equipment dealer in Northern Ukraine, placing bids on the client's behalf while a client representative directed the strategy. The combine, bought in Illinois, went to the Port of Houston and onto a Flat Rack for ocean freight to Odesa.

The shipment
In 2014, Meridian Freight purchased a John Deere 9860 STS combine at an online auction for a large agricultural equipment dealer in Northern Ukraine. A client representative followed the auction and directed the bidding strategy, while Meridian Freight placed bids on the client's behalf. The combine was purchased in Illinois and moved to the Port of Houston, where it was loaded onto a Flat Rack for ocean freight to the Port of Odesa.
