We import used machinery from the USA and Canada to Mombasa — Kenya's largest port and the gateway to East Africa. We're not a dealer: we source the machine in the US, inspect it at origin before you pay, book the ocean freight to Mombasa, and clear your Kenya customs through a licensed clearing agent.
Meridian handles the US export side and coordinates clearance into Kenya. A licensed Kenyan clearing agent confirms the exact import-duty line and used-age admissibility for your specific machine against the current Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) tariff before you commit. Imports into Kenya must also meet Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) requirements under the Pre-Export Verification of Conformity (PVoC) programme — under PVoC Route A, conformity is verified by inspection in the country of origin, which is exactly where we inspect the machine before you pay. A roughly 8-year age limit applies to some vehicle categories, so used-machinery admissibility is confirmed per shipment, and import VAT and other charges may apply. We never quote a final landed cost until your agent confirms these lines for your unit.
