We import used farm and earthmoving machinery from the USA and Canada to Australia, cleaned to the DAFF biosecurity standard at origin and treated for stink bug before it sails. Sourcing, inspection, treatment and clearance run as one job. We're the importer, not a dealer — you compare the landed cost, we land the machine.
Australia at a glance: machinery enters through the east-coast ports (Brisbane and Townsville on our costed lanes) or Fremantle for Western Australia; ocean transit from US ports runs roughly 60-72 days depending on export port and routing, with the exact schedule confirmed at booking; oversize units ship on flat racks or as break-bulk. Compliance in brief: every machine must meet the DAFF cleanliness standard (soil, seeds and plant material removed and inspected at origin), and from 1 September to 30 April US-origin machinery needs offshore brown marmorated stink bug (BMSB) treatment before arrival — both steps we handle at origin. Agricultural tractors and self-propelled earthmoving machines are generally duty-free, with 10% GST payable on import (creditable for GST-registered businesses); pre-2003 machines are screened for asbestos before purchase. Western Australia adds a state-level DPIRD inspection. A licensed Australian broker confirms the entry per shipment.
