Volvo L120E Wheel Loader - Containerized Export

In 2026 Meridian Freight handled an Iraqi dealer's Volvo L120E wheel loader bought at auction: it coordinated the auction release, collected the machine by lowboy and, because Flat Rack and Ro-Ro were costly, proposed dismantling it for a 40-foot High Cube container. The 18,600 kg shipment went from New York to Mersin and arrived there.

The shipment

An Iraqi dealer independently purchased a Volvo L120E wheel loader at auction. Meridian coordinated the auction release and collected it by lowboy. Because the bucket and transport dimensions made Flat Rack and Ro-Ro alternatives costly, Meridian proposed dismantling the machine for a 40-foot High Cube container. The chassis, wheels, cab and bucket were secured as separate assemblies. The container was shipped from New York to Mersin and arrived there.

What Meridian did

  • Coordinated the auction release.
  • Collected the loader by lowboy.
  • Proposed dismantling the machine for a 40-foot High Cube container instead of Flat Rack or Ro-Ro.

Transport particulars

  • An Iraqi dealer bought the Volvo L120E wheel loader at auction on its own.
  • The bucket and the transport dimensions made Flat Rack and Ro-Ro alternatives costly.
  • The chassis, wheels, cab and bucket were secured as separate assemblies.
  • The container was shipped from New York to Mersin and arrived there.
