AgChem Sprayer - Oversized Move Through New Orleans

An AgChem sprayer about 12 ft high traveled on a Flat Rack set on a lowboy through central New Orleans to the port terminal. Meridian Freight coordinated permits, a lead escort, a rear escort and police-managed traffic control, and bridge heights and the port approach were reviewed. The sprayer was shipped to Novorossiysk.

The shipment

New Orleans was the practical export gateway, but the route to the terminal passed through the center of the city. The approximately 12-ft-high sprayer traveled on a Flat Rack set on a lowboy, increasing the overall transport height. Meridian coordinated permits, a lead escort, a rear escort and police-managed traffic control. Bridge clearances and the approach to the port were reviewed because the combined height could not pass beneath every structure on a standard route. The sprayer reached the terminal and was shipped to Novorossiysk. During a 2020 visit to the farm, Meridian's team observed the machine still working in the field.
