How we handle the shipment
Heavy equipment is planned from the tape measure out. We confirm the machine, verify it at origin, then match it to flat rack, open-top or container space for the Jebel Ali sailing.

Listing or spec sheet, plus weight and dimensions if you have them. Excavator, loader, dozer or grader: the measurements matter more than the model name.
We verify it at origin
Condition, hours, undercarriage wear and completeness get checked on the ground before any money moves. Oversize units are measured for the load plan at the same visit.
Load format and freight
Flat rack, open-top or container: the machine's true weight and dimensions decide it, along with any dismantling. We book the Jebel Ali sailing to match.
Your broker clears it in the UAE
Your licensed UAE broker files the entry — mainland, or free zone first if that suits your plans — and clears the machine at Jebel Ali, working from the export documents we prepared at origin.

Meridian's scope ends where the UAE tariff begins. A licensed UAE customs broker confirms the exact tariff line for your specific machine before you commit funds. Most machinery enters at 5% customs duty with 5% VAT on top, and used machinery imports are routine. Entry through the Jebel Ali Free Zone can defer duty until the machine clears into the mainland; your broker advises which route fits.
